Here is the weather forecast for South Africa today: There are severe thunderstorms forecasted for certain areas in South Africa, particularly the Northern Cape and north-eastern parts of the Western Cape. These storms could bring strong damaging winds, heavy downpours, and potentially large amounts of small hail. As a result, there may be localised structural damage to infrastructure or settlements, potential injuries, and risks to life. Additionally, these storms could disrupt municipal and other essential services. It's important to stay informed and take necessary precautions if you are in these areas. There are severe thunderstorms on the horizon, bringing heavy downpours, small hail, strong winds, and intense lightning. These storms can potentially cause localised flooding, disrupt services due to power surges, and pose a danger to life. The areas most affected include the eastern parts of the Northern Cape, as well as the western parts of the Free State and North West Province.
